About Me

Welcome! I’m Rebecca a wife, daughter, sister, friend and SLP. I have many interests and love being creative. It fuels me! So I thought: Why not create a lifestyle blog?

Food
When I first started to learn how to cook my specialty was Mac n Cheese… Kraft Mac n Cheese… from the box. I’ve come very far since this! My interest in cooking grew when my husband and I were first living on our own. I had my first job and he was still in school, so it was my turn to provide the meals. I was a little intimidated at first, but I’ve come to love it so much over the years! Cooking for myself has given me an appreciation for different kinds of foods and allows me to have the kind of lifestyle and body I want. I look forward to cooking for my husband and coming up with recipes on the fly!

Beauty & Health
Skincare has been part of my routine from a young age. I started using a facial moisturizer at 12! Believe it or not I’m pretty low-maintenance. My philosophy is that if you put in the small effort to take care of your skin then in the long run you will need less effort to look and feel good. In this section I write about my favorite products, routines and reviews of various beauty items. This section isn’t limited to just cosmetic features. I also share items that I feel benefit my overall health in hopes that it helps someone else.

Fashion
I’ve always loved clothes and mix-matching different items to create completely new outfits. This section is just full of pure joy for me. I love that feeling of when I find clothes that make me feel good and confident. As women we all come in different shapes and sizes so I think a lot of you out there understand what I mean by “that feeling”. I am a petite 30-year-old woman, so I hope my links help other women feel like they can wear age-appropriate clothes that they’re not swimming in.

Travel
My biggest college regret was not taking part in study abroad opportunities. My mid-to late 20’s was a very exciting time for me. I was finally independent enough where I could start to travel.  After working hard in post-undergrad and starting our careers, my husband and I were finally in a place that it made sense to take these opportunities.  I LOVE sharing my travels and offering suggestions of different places to visit. Whether its across country, overseas, stay-cation or day trip. I hope my tidbits help you plan a trip in the future.

DIY
Creativity has always been my fuel. I love creating and taking something and making it into something beautiful. In the past year I got married, so you’ll probably see a lot of wedding DIYs. I’m all for saving a buck and adding a personal touch. My career also allows me to use this part of me as I am an educator to young children. The sense of pride one gets from creating something can’t be touched.

Speech Therapy

I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist. I absolutely love working with children. On this page I’ll share my favorite books, toys, activities and tips to facilitate speech and language development. This page can be used by fellow therapists but also families seeking out ways to help their children at home. Carryover is necessary for therapy to be successful.
