Amazon Haul November

Hey y’all in this post I will be sharing some of my favorites from this month’s Amazon haul. I will be sharing my planner, blue light blocking glasses, and novel. Maybe I’ll inspire some Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers! You can always find my Amazon finds under “Amazon Favorites” in the top menu bar.

1. Go Girl Planner

I’m the type of person that always needs to have a planner. Each year I invest in a new one. I like having my ideas and goals written down. It makes me feel like I’m a step closer to bringing them to fruition. This year I purchased the Go Girl Planner. So far I really like it. I got mine in royal blue, which is a really beautiful and rich color. It comes in a variety of other colors as well.

As you can see in the pictures below it comes with blank calendar pages so you can customize and fill it as you go. I really like that on each calendar page it has a section for “This Month’s Goals” and “Life Balance Goals”. The latter being separated into four subcategories. Seeing my monthly goals written down in categories helps me remember what I’m working towards and nudges me to put in the time and effort to achieve those future accomplishments.

If the calendar page is not enough room for your writing, it also comes with weekly pages as well. You can see this in the picture below. The weekly pages are also blank so you can customize them as you go. I like this, because for some weeks the calendar page alone suffices.

The planner opens up with a “My Goals” pages. Each goal is separated into 3 categories: “life area”, “what I want”, and “accomplished by”. I find that setting a timeline has significantly helped me achieve my goals and even complete my to-do lists! It also has “My Top 5 Goals for the Year”, “My Strategy”, and “My Daily Rituals” pages.

Another thing I love about this planner is that it comes with 3 ribbon bookmarks that are attached. I usually keep one with the calendar page, the other with the weekly page, and the last one with my goals. As you can see below it also comes with some fun stickers that you can use to decorate the inside pages. The stickers come with gold colored foil and motivational words.

I am linking the planner here. It comes in a variety of sizes. Mine is A5 (5.7″ X 8.5″).

2. Blue Light Blocking Glasses

As a blogger and tele-practice speech therapist my eyes are always on my laptop. I’ve gotten headaches, dry eye, and even eye twitching as a result of this. I highly recommend investing in a pair of blue-light blocking glasses. Recently, I purchased Livho‘s lightweight retro round frame glasses in gold.

I love the look of these glasses and it is very lightweight. Besides protecting my eyes I really love the attention to detail. The rhinestone detail on the backing of the nose pads is very pretty. I also love the engraved design on the end-pieces. You can see all these details in the pictures below. The nose pads aren’t soft, however, you can widen the opening by simply pushing them to the side.

I’ve been using these glasses for over a week and I am satisfied with it. I also have another pair of blue eye blocking glasses that work well. My previous pair has a yellow tint to it. When I take them off my sensitivity to the blue light on the screen is more noticeable. I’m not an expert on blue light blocking glasses, but it leads me to believe that my previous pair is more effective. I will link my blogpost on those here:

I’ll admit my motivation for getting these new glasses is purely cosmetic. They help my eyes plus they are beautiful.

3. Novel: Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

I’ve been wanting to read this book for years. As you could probably guess the name alone was the appeal to me haha. I tried to read this once when I was 13, but it didn’t hold my attention. At 30 I can’t put it down! It’s written well and fairly easy to read. I’m only on Chapter 9, but so far you learn a lot about the main character and her own insecurities. There are sections of the story that are overwhelmed by imagery, but I enjoy that. However, the mystery and character development are what really intrigue me. I recommend this book if you are looking for a good read this winter.

As you may know Netflix has made a film based on this book. I have yet to watch it. I’m one of those people that is compelled to finish the book before I watch the movie. Rebecca comes to an end on page 386. My hope is to finish this by Christmas!

A little fun fact is that Hitchcock already made a film based on this novel. What I didn’t know is that Daphne Du Maurier wrote the short story “The Birds”, which is also a Hitchcock film!
