Easy Lemon Honey Salmon Recipe

Salmon is a staple in my kitchen! I love that it’s healthy and you can easily pair it with a quick side like roasted or steamed veggies and rice. My go-to when I want a quick salmon dinner is Dijon mustard and breadcrumbs baked at 400 degrees. However, yesterday evening I reached for the mustard only to find that it was an empty bottle placed back into the fridge. (Don’t you hate that?!) I scoured my pantry and came up with this lemon honey salmon recipe on the fly. I have to say it was pretty good! What’s even better is that it was super easy and quick!

Ingredients

You will need:

  • 2 filets of salmon
  • Smoked paprika
  • Black pepper
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced or ground garlic to preference
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • Parsley flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Season salmon filets with smoked paprika and black pepper to preference.
  3. In a separate bowl combine garlic, honey, and lemon juice.
  4. Coat salmon with mixture using a basting brush.
  5. Sprinkle on dried parsley flakes to your preference.
  6. Bake salmon for 30 minutes.
  7. Broil salmon for additional 3 minutes. (You can skip this step, but I love adding a bit of smokiness!)

Enjoy! This lemon honey salmon dish is great over a bed of rice and paired with a side of veggies.
