Popcorn Balls Recipe

This year Halloween is different. Growing up I made great memories trick-or-treating as a child with my family and friends. As an adult I still enjoy the holiday! I think keeping up with tradition is good for neighborhoods and families. To make this year a little bit better I made a fun Halloween treat for the kiddies in my life! So excited to share it with you! This recipe is super easy, but won’t taste easy! What I really love about these popcorn balls is that you can totally change the candies in the recipe, so it can be used anytime of the year!

Ingredients

  • Bag of microwaved popcorn
  • 10 oz bag of mini-marshmallows
  • 4 TBS of butter
  • Gummy worms or candy of choice

Directions

  1. Melt marshmallows and butter on the stovetop using a pot. Use medium-low heat and adjust accordingly. Make sure to continuously mix and monitor so the marshmallows don’t burn!
  2. Make microwavable popcorn. When done empty it onto a baking sheet. Make sure to take out all of the un-popped kernels.
  3. Pour marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and mix with a spatula.
  4. Top with desired candy and mix with a spatula.
  5. Rub some butter on your hands and roll the popcorn into balls. Place on another cookie sheet. Make sure you press with ball between your palms so it will hold shape.
  6. Let it cool and harden for about an hour.

Enjoy! I put mine in cellophane bags and dropped a couple of extra gummies in there 😉
