Over-sized T-Shirt & Cut-off Shorts
This is a casual go-to of mine this summer when I’m feeling like being comfortable yet still trendy. Nothing I’m wearing in this photo is originally mine haha. The shorts are a hand-me-down from a friend and the shirt is my husband’s. I like this shirt because its thin and long, making it easy to tie a knot in front of it. When going out I’ll probably pair this with a pair of white sneakers or black sandals. You can’t see my accessories that well in the picture, but they are all gold colored. I like silver, but I feel like it has more of a subdued effect as an…

BBQ Orange Chicken Easy
This is a really simple and quick chicken dinner that you can make last minute! I love cooking for my husband, almost as much as I love watching his reaction as he takes a bite into one of my new recipes. This recipe was inspired by my husband’s two loves: BBQ potato chips and anything citrus flavored. Ingredients (4 servings) 4 thin chicken breasts (or 2 halved chicken breasts) 1/2 cup orange marmalade 1/2 BBQ sauce 1/2 tsp rubbed sage 1/4 tsp garlic powder Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Tenderize chicken with mallet. Place chicken in a baking pan. Sprinkle garlic and rubbed sage onto chicken. Mix BBQ…

Easy Chorizo Tacos
I love tacos all year long, but especially in the summer! Today I made a simple and tasty quick taco dinner. On a hot day less time in front of the stove is ideal. A meal that will taste like you put in the time is even more ideal! Ingredients (Servings 2) 2 chorizo sausages 1/2 TBS EVOO half of a small lime cilantro to taste 1/4 cup red onion diced half a large avocado cut into chunks 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese taco shells Directions Cut chorizo sausages so they look as though they are grounded. Heat EVOO in pan and then brown the chorizo. About 5-10 minutes.…

Casual Flowy top
Today the only place I went to was the grocery store, but I didn’t feel like putting on a standard t-shirt. I love flowy tops like this, because they’re comfortable, easy to pull-on and need minimal accessories. It’s perfect for when you still want to look cute, but don’t want to put in the effort. Also, it was very hot today so this sheer top was very cool. A little tip: Patterned sheer tops are less see-through, so you could totally get away with just wearing a bra underneath this for most occasions. The brand is Mudd from Kohl’s so its a great price! Day trip to Boston
I love this city! Don’t get me wrong as a New Yorker, Manhattan will always be “THE City”, but what’s not to love about Boston?! It’s clean, nautical and every time I’m there I get to say fun things like “hahbah” and “Smaht”. Did I mention CLEAN? The New England Aquarium. If you love penguins as much as I do then you have to visit this aquarium! It opens up into this big room with a penguin exhibit. The rest of the aquarium spirals up into different levels with various sea creatures. Make sure not to miss out of the Sea Lion exhibit outside! I almost did! This place was…

Siesta Keys & the Orlando Eye
A couple of years ago I took a much needed girls trip to Siesta Keys, Florida. The best part of the trip was the company ! I don’t get to see these girls as much as I’d like to. We booked a villa, which was AMAZING (I miss it more than the beach!) and included a heated pool. Depending on how you like to vacation, a villa is a good choice if you prefer to cook for yourself instead of going out to eat. Also, it makes you feel like you live there! Who wouldn’t want to live with a beach just 3 minutes away? So let’s talk about the…

California Dreaming: My trip to L.A.
Summer 2016 was one filled with adventure for me. I took my SECOND big girl trip. This time is was to the City of Angels. Hollywood. We stayed in Hollywood. Honestly, its less glamorous than it sounds, but you might as well do the tourist stuff while you’re there. However, its not somewhere that I recommend staying several days. You could probably see all the major sites in a matter of hours, it’s all on one strip… …with the exception of my second favorite part of the trip: The Griffiths Observatory! I’d say this is a must see if you’re in Hollywood. It overlooks the city of Los Angeles and Mount…

Adventures in the Emerald Isle (Ireland Trip)
During summer 2016 I took my first grown up trip abroad and I have to admit I caught the travel bug! In this post I’m going to go through some of my favorite sites and adventures with some tips along the way! The Cliffs of Moher Breathtaking. I flew into Shannon airport at 6:30 AM, took a bus to the hotel, and another bus straight to the Cliffs of Moher! Jet lag had nothing on me. This was truly one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. It held the rest of the trip to a pretty high standard. Maybe save this for the end of your trip if…
